Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 14, 2026

ScrapingLab ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ScrapingLab platform at scrapinglab.net. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using ScrapingLab, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up using a third-party service (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider. Authentication is handled by Clerk — we do not store passwords on our servers.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by third-party processors including Stripe, FastSpring, and PayPro Global. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials on our servers. These processors adhere to PCI-DSS standards for the secure handling of payment information. Their use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use ScrapingLab, including task configurations, workflow definitions, run history, feature usage, device information (browser type, IP address, operating system), and page visit data. This data helps us improve the platform and provide support.

Scraped Data

Data you extract using ScrapingLab belongs to you. We process and temporarily store scraped data (including extracted text, screenshots, and downloaded files) to deliver it to you, but we do not use your extracted data for any other purpose. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and use the data you extract.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the ScrapingLab platform
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send service-related communications (account updates, security alerts, export notifications)
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve our product

We do not use your information to send marketing or promotional emails unless you explicitly opt in.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management
  • Convex — database, backend functions, and real-time data sync
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
  • FastSpring — payment processing and subscription billing
  • PayPro Global — payment processing and subscription billing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (export notifications, account alerts)
  • Trigger.dev — background task orchestration and scheduling

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers listed above, solely to operate the platform
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
  • Business transfers — if ScrapingLab is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Scraped data (extracted content, screenshots) is retained according to your subscription plan:

  • Starter: 30 days
  • Pro: 90 days
  • Enterprise: custom retention

You may delete your data at any time from the dashboard. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Essential cookies: maintain your session, authentication state, and preferences. These are required for the Service to function.
  • Analytics cookies: understand how visitors use our marketing site and identify usage trends. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
